Vandana Sarawgi is an avid connoisseur of design and silverware. Along with her husband Prashant Sarawgi, Vandana has worked tirelessly to make SR Artefacts the leading silverware brand for HNIs across India. As the CEO of SR Artefacts, her primarily role is to build and maintain relationships with their distinguished clientele and to head the design & manufacturing divisions of the company.
Her designs
for SR Artefacts are largely inspired by nature & traditional Indian art
forms with a fresh twist to compliment modern décor. Her objective is to
explore contemporary designs to meet the requirements of the young buyers. As
an added passion, Vandana frequently supports Indian artisans to help their
inimitable art reach the urban population. Being a huge believer of Indian arts
and crafts, she adapts her designs to incorporate the former’s strengths.
In
addition to local talent, Vandana is also passionate about exploring collaborations
with award-winning artisans around the world to create silverware that
expresses the unification of diverse cultures. She has successfully been
responsible in bringing international silver work to India through SR
Artefacts’ notable collaborations with renowned Mexican designer Emilia Castillo
and luxury Italian silverware brands, Casa Reale and Camilletti Argenterie to name
a few. Vandana’s objective is to not only bring International art to India but
to also bring their technical know-hows in order to improve the design process.
Vandana has a postgraduate degree in Business Management & Finance. She has also completed various courses in gemology, creative designing and crafts.
